Reincarnation and Buddhism

On Sunday October 27th at 10:15 a.m., Alexander Gardner will speak about reincarnation, a central belief of all Buddhist traditions, which is foundational to the ethical system, or karma. Buddhists are told to follow the 10 virtuous actions and avoid the 10 non-virtuous actions because such actions will produce positive or negative effects, respectively, and those effects are said to play out over future lifetimes.

Alexander Gardner Ph.D., is Director and Chief Editor of the Treasury of Lives. This is a biographical encyclopedia, with 106 contributing authors, of Tibet, Inner Asia, and the Himalayan region. It provides well-researched biographies of a wide range of figures, from Buddhist masters to artists and political officials; most of which are peer reviewed.
