Al Anon for Families

On Sunday April 28th at 10:15 a.m. there will be a presentation at the Berlin Township Community Center in Beach Lake, PA, about Al Anon, the 12 Step Recovery program for those affected by alcoholism. The group does not profess to "cure" the alcoholic but to give support and guidance to those who live in an addiction environment. In the presentation some of the principles of Al Anon will be explained and some of the typical questions will be answered, namely, is it a cult, is it a religion, is it a self help hype, does it work, what does it mean to say "higher power" and perhaps, most importantly, could it help me? This will then be followed by a discussion on "Sanity and Living".
