What We've Lost

A reading from "MLK: What We Lost" by Annette Gordon-Reed will be presented. In a review and survey of five books that were written to commemorate the fiftieth anniversary in 2018 of the death of Martin Luther King Jr., Ms Gordon-Reed assesses his life and legacy. Annette Gordon-Reed is a professor of law at New York Law School and a professor of history at Rutgers University. She is the author of "Thomas Jefferson and Sally Hemings: An American Controversy" and "The Hemingses of Monticello: An American Family." The reading will be part of a one hour service, presented by the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship at the Berlin Township Community Center in Beach Lake, PA on Sunday, January 20th at 10:15 a.m. All are invited and directions can be found at www.uduuf.org.
