God, Don't Take the Name in Vain

On Sunday, December 9th Tom Lisenbee, local poet and musician, will present a reading "God, don't take the name in vain" from Yuval Harari's recent book 21 Lessons for the 21st Century. Harari is an Israeli historian and a tenured professor in the Department of History at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is also the author of the international bestsellers Sapiens: A Brief History of Humankind and Homo Deus: A Brief History of Tomorrow.

In this recent book he focuses on the present time and the problems and issues we’re facing (terrorism, fake news and immigration) and offers some solutions. and has tips on how to navigate the future we face – with the power of clarity.

The one hour service, sponsored by the Upper Delaware Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, will be held at 10:15 a.m. at the Berlin Township Community Center in Beach Lake, PA. Directions can be found at www.uduuf.org.
