"The Visitor" tells the story of a professor who comes face-to-face with illegal immigrants living in his apartment. What happens to him makes for a compelling tale of transformation and a provocative study on the nature of the interconnected web of existence. The 2008 film, directed by Thomas McCarthy ("The Station Agent"), features Richard Jenkins in his Oscar-nominated role as the emotionally shutdown academic moved to action.
